- Odisha expects widespread heavy rainfall until July 15.

Jagran Correspondent, Bhubaneswar: Due to the influence of a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, widespread rainfall is expected in Odisha. The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has issued a warning for several districts in the state. According to the Meteorological Department, this rainy season will continue until July 15.
The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning and rain in several districts of North and Coastal Odisha.
The warning has been issued for Cuttack, Khordha, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj districts. A yellow alert has also been issued for Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Balasore, and Sundargarh districts.

Orange Alert In Place For Kandhamal
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for rainfall across the state for Wednesday. However, Kandhamal district has been placed under the orange alert, where heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected.
According to meteorologists, due to unstable atmospheric conditions and the influence of a low pressure area, heavy rain and thundershowers are likely to continue in various parts of the state till the middle of the week.

A heavy rain alert has also been issued for eastern Uttar Pradesh, while Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, and western parts of Uttar Pradesh are expected to receive occasional rains throughout the week. While the fresh rainfall has provided relief from the heat, the temperature is further likely to increase with the weakening of the monsoon.
The weather department has also stated that heavy rain is likely over the coastal regions of Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Lakshadweep. The fishermen of these regions have been advised to follow the guidelines and limit their financial activities during the rain to avoid inconveniences.
