Railway News:  The South Zone of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a special ‘Jyotirlinga with Shirdi Yatra’ tour package, which is scheduled to start from Tirunelveli on November 9. The tour will be done via Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, offering devotees a comfortable and affordable journey to some of India’s most revered Jyotirlinga shrines, including a visit to Shirdi.

Bookings can be made on IRCTC’s official website or through IRCTC’s centres in Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore.

IRCTC’s ‘Jyotirlinga With Shirdi Yatra’ Tour Package Details

The eight-day ‘Jyotirlinga with Shirdi’ tour will operate from November 9 to 16, departing from Tirunelveli, Indian Rail reported. The journey will be done via Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, covering key pilgrimage tourist destinations such as Nashik, Shirdi, Shani Shingnapur, Pandharpur, and Mantralayam.

The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will have a two-tier AC coach, six three-tier AC coaches and three sleeper coaches. The special package is available for booking in three pricing tiers: Economy ( ₹14,400 per person), Standard (₹26,000), and Comfort (₹36,500).

The package includes train travel in Sleeper, 3 AC or 2 AC class, accommodation in hotels or tents, transfers, South Indian vegetarian meals, services of a tour escort, security and travel insurance.

How To Book Tickets For Jyotirlinga With Shirdi Yatra?

Passengers can book their tickets for Jyotirlinga with Shirdi Yatra through IRCTC’s regional offices in Chennai, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli (Tiruchy) and Coimbatore or via IRCTC’s official website or mobile application.

The Indian Railway has also launched a ‘Round Trip Scheme’ for passengers booking their tickets for the festive season. Under this scheme, passengers can avail a discount of 20 per cent on the base fare of return journey tickets. This scheme applies to all classes of trains, including special trains. Passengers can avail discounts by booking their onward and return journey tickets via IRCTC’s mobile app for the same set of passengers and stations.
