Bengaluru News: In cities across India, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi and Kolkata, passengers have voiced their frustrations as IndiGo Airlines deals with a temporary system slowdown. This issue has disrupted the airline's website and booking services, leading to longer wait times and delays at airport check-in counters.
On Saturday, IndiGo acknowledged the problem through a travel advisory shared on X (formerly Twitter). The airline stated, “We are currently experiencing a temporary system slowdown across our network, affecting our website and booking system. Customers may face increased wait times, including slower check-ins and longer queues at the airport.”
The reaction from travellers has been swift and vocal. One frustrated customer tweeted, “@IndiGo6E your services are down. I'm unable to book any IndiGo flight on any platform, including your own!” Another passenger compared the chaotic situation at the airport to that of a railway station, saying, “Technical glitch at @IndiGo6E Airport looks like Railway Station #indigo #monopoly #delays.”

Passengers are not only frustrated with the current delays but are also urging IndiGo to improve its ground services. One traveller tweeted, “@IndiGo6E it’s good to invest in new aircraft, but how about enhancing ground services? This is the scene at IndiGo counters at Bangalore T1 for the last hour. Additional counters are required; it is disturbing to see older people suffering. @DGCAIndia please notice.”
With over 2,000 flights daily, including international routes, the technical glitch has had a significant impact on travellers throughout Karnataka, Maharashtra and beyond. Many have encountered delays when trying to book flights or check in, prompting numerous complaints across social media platforms.
