Railways News: The Railways has informed that several key trains to the eastern states from Delhi have been delayed, leading to inconveniences to the passengers. The authority stated that the delay has also led to a change in schedule of many trains to several states, including West Bengal, Odisha, and Bihar. The Railways stated that the trains are getting late due to several reasons, primarily due to the fog in the morning hours. It further advised the passengers of these states to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid the rush. However, the Railways has assured that the situation is likely to improve in the upcoming weeks.

While providing details, the authority stated the Muzaffarpur Special (05284) train, which departs from Anand Vihar Terminal at 7 am, will depart at 2 pm, with a delay of seven hours. It further stated that the Muzaffarpur Festival Special (05220) train will depart at 2.15 pm with a delay of more than two hours. Apart from this, the Anand Vihar Terminal-Purnia Court Special (05579) Express, which departs at 5.15 am, will depart at 10.15 pm, with a delay of more than 14 hours.

The Railways also informed that the Darbhanga Humsafar Special (02570), which departs from New Delhi at 12.15 pm, will depart at 6.30 pm. The authority also stated that along with long-distance trains, many local trains are also running late, leading to issues for the daily commuters. The Railways has also advised the commuters of the nearby districts to stay updated with the changes to avoid the inconveniences.

The authority also stated that several other trains, including Puri-Yognagari Rishikesh Utkal Express (18477), will operate 4.15 hrs late, adding that Gaya-Old Delhi Superfast Special (03697) is delayed by more than 2 hours. The Railways also stated that the Sitamarhi-Old Delhi Special (04009) train is delayed by more than 12 hours.
