Rajasthan: Six people were killed in Rajasthan’s Bundi’s district in a road accident that took place at around 4:30 on Sunday, police said. Those dead are being identified, while the three people who were injured are residents of Madhya Pradesh. The police are currently searching for an unknown vehicle that hit the Eco car. The cameras installed on the highway and the toll plaza are also being examined.
“The police got information about the incident at around 4:30 am. After reaching the spot, we took the injured people to the nearby hospital. So far six people have died in this incident while many people are seriously injured. The people who have died are being identified,” said Bundi's ASP, Uma Sharma, as quoted by an Amar Ujala report.
More details are awaited on the matter.
Samastipur Accident
In another unrelated incident yesterday, a out-of-control truck on NH 28 near Upkramit Madhya Vidyalaya Navkatol hit five school children. The accident, which took place under the Musarigharari police station jurisdiction, resulted in two fatalities at the scene, while three others were rushed to a local hospital for treatment, where their conditions remain critical.
The deceased have been identified as Swati Priya, daughter of Brahmadev Singh and Kritika Kumari, daughter of Rajesh Kumar Sah. Both were fifth-grade students. A third child, 13-year-old Meena Kumari, daughter of Vishnudev Singh, managed to escape by jumping into a nearby water body.
Samastipur Accident: Details Of The Incident
Eyewitnesses reported that the children were on their way to school when a cement-laden truck, travelling at high speed from Tajpur, struck them. The truck veered off the highway and came to a halt in an empty area nearby. Local residents quickly apprehended the driver, who attempted to flee the scene.
Following the accident, the two deceased students were pronounced dead at the scene, while the three injured children were taken to a private hospital in Tajpur for urgent care.
