The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its forecast for October 2 to October 6 has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in several states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, and Maharashtra. Thunderstorm with lightning is also expected during this period.

According to IMD's latest five-day forecast, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Sikkim will witness light to moderate rainfall from October 2-6. During this period, there is also a possibility of storms and lightning.

Weather In Delhi Today (October 2)

IMD predicts the sky will mainly be clear in Delhi today. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 22 degrees Celsius.

Heavy Rainfall In Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha

As per the weather forecast issued by IMD, Andaman & Nicobar Islands will experience heavy rains on October 4 and 5. Meanwhile, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in Bihar on October 2 and October 3.

Weathermen also forecast very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Jharkhand and Odisha today, while the same will be experienced by Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim tomorrow (October 3).

Northeast India

Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh are expected to witness heavy rainfall on October 2-5. IMD also forecasts thunderstorms accompanied by lighting during this period.

Central India

According to the IMD, widespread light/moderate precipitation is expected in Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh today and tomorrow. During this period, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms with lightning.

Heavy Rains In Chhattisgarh

According to the IMD, heavy to very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall will be witnessed at isolated places in Chhattisgarh today.

Southern And Western India

Light/moderate rainfall has also been predicted for some places in Kerala and Mahe on Monday (today). Heavy rainfall was recorded yesterday between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm at isolated places in Konkan & Goa and Kerala & Mahe, the IMD said.
