Many studies suggest that using flax seeds for hair can prevent hair damage, strengthen your hair, improve scalp health and balance pH levels. How To Use Flax Seeds For Hair Growth

1. Flaxseed Oil For Hair

To prepare flaxseed oil, you need two tablespoons of flaxseed oil and a hot towel. Take a bowl and heat flaxseed oil for a minute until it turns slightly warm. Take the bowl off the gas and let it cool. Apply it vigorously onto your hair, roots and scalp. Now, wrap your hair with a hot towel and wait for about 30 minutes. Wash your hair with regular shampoo and do this 2-3 times a week.

2. Flax Seeds Hair Gel

To make flax seeds hair gel, you will need ¼ cup flax seeds, 2 cups filtered water and a tablespoon of lemon juice. Start by boiling the water and flax seeds in a pan until it starts to thicken. Now add lemon juice to the liquid and stir well. Once it achieves gel-like consistency, remove it from the flame and set aside to cool. Once it cools down, store it in a jar and use it once a week before shampooing your hair.

3. Eat Raw Flax Seeds

Consuming a tablespoon of flax seeds every morning can also help in achieving healthy and lustrous hair. Omega-3 fatty acids present in flax seeds can reduce inflammation, vitamin B is known to promote strong and healthier hair and vitamin E reduces the effects of free radicals on your scalp, thereby promoting hair growth.

4. Flax Seeds Gel With Coconut Oil

You will need one cup of water, 5 tablespoons of golden flax seeds, ½ teaspoon of coconut oil and one tablespoon of aloe vera. Start by boiling the water and adding flax seeds to it. Mix the mixture well and let it boil for about 5 minutes. Now pour the mixture into a metallic container and add coconut oil to it. Store it in the fridge for about a week and apply before you shampoo your hair.
