Mumbai Mega Block: Mumbai local train services on the Central, Western and Trans-Harbour lines will be disrupted on Sunday, December 14, 2025, due to a scheduled mega block for maintenance work. Railway authorities said the block is necessary for track, signalling and overhead equipment upkeep.

Services on the Harbour line and the Uran line will operate as usual, as no block has been planned on these routes. The mega block will impact multiple sections across the suburban network. Some trains will be cancelled, while others will be diverted or delayed during the block hours.

Mumbai Local Train Mega Block: Affected Services

Western Line

- A five-hour jumbo block will be in place between Goregaon and Borivali from 10.00 AM to 3.00 PM.

- Maintenance work will be carried out on tracks, signalling systems and overhead equipment.

- During this period, all Up and Down slow line trains will operate on the fast lines between Goregaon and Borivali.

- Several suburban services will remain cancelled, while some Andheri and Borivali trains will operate only up to Goregaon via the Harbour line.

- No trains will be handled from Platforms 1, 2, 3 and 4 at Borivali station during the block.

Central Line

- A block on the Matunga–Mulund Up and Down fast lines will be observed from 11.05 AM to 3.45 PM.

- Down fast services leaving CSMT Mumbai between 10.36 AM and 3.10 PM will be diverted to the slow line at Matunga and will arrive about 15 minutes late.

- Up fast services leaving Thane between 11.03 AM and 3.38 PM will also be diverted and are expected to reach destinations with a similar delay.

Trans-Harbour Line

- Services between Thane and Vashi/Nerul will be suspended from 11.10 AM to 4.10 PM.

- Several Up and Down trains running between Thane, Vashi, Nerul and Panvel during this period will remain cancelled.

Railway officials have urged commuters to remain alert, follow official updates and cooperate during the maintenance block.
