Pune News: The groundwork for the ambitious Pune Ring Road project has officially commenced, promising to improve connectivity and alleviate traffic congestion in the city. The Eastern Phase, which spans 24.5 km between Pune Nagar Road and Solapur Highway, has been awarded to Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd. The contractor has already begun operations in Wadebolhai village near Kesnand.
According to a Punekar news report, the launch event featured a traditional pooja and was attended by key figures, including Ameet Gadhoke, Managing Director of Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd., as well as local leaders Kunal Gupta and Vishal Ghule Patil. Villagers from Wadebolhai participated enthusiastically in the ceremony.
With over 100 excavators and heavy machinery on site, the project is poised to gain momentum once the Government of Maharashtra formally inaugurates the construction phase.
BK Singh, Director of Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd., remarked, "This marks a crucial step in enhancing Pune's infrastructure. We are dedicated to completing the Eastern Phase on time while upholding the highest quality standards."

The Pune Ring Road is a massive 170-km infrastructure project with an estimated budget of Rs 742 crores, divided into four phases. Its aim is to reduce traffic congestion, improve access to surrounding areas and stimulate economic growth in Pune.
Singh also noted that the official groundbreaking ceremony is expected to take place after December 5, 2024, emphasising the project's potential to reshape Pune's urban landscape.
