Pune Traffic Advisory: As construction for the Tata Metro project ramps up along Ganeshkhind Road, the Pune Traffic Branch has announced temporary traffic adjustments to facilitate smoother vehicle movement and reduce congestion. The ongoing work includes port beam construction at the Pune University junction and the launching of girders for two metro stations, necessitating traffic diversions.

Pune Traffic Advisory: Key traffic changes

Pune University Junction: Access will be limited to two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers entering from Bremen Chowk. Goods vehicles, PMPML buses and luxury buses will not be permitted. Commuters heading to Deccan or Shivajinagar are advised to use alternate routes via Jaykar Path, Ambedkar Chowk and Symphony Chowk.

PMR 20 Metro Station Construction: Vehicles travelling from Pune University Square to Range Hills will be prohibited from using Ganeshkhind Road. An alternative route via Range Hills Corner and Symphony Circle will be available.

COEP Hostel Access: Access to the COEP Hostel from Simla Office junction will be restricted. Commuters can turn right at Sancheti Hospital for alternative routes.

Night-Time Restrictions: The Sancheti Hospital underpass will be closed to vehicles from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with alternative routes provided during these hours.

No Parking Zones: Parking or stopping will not be allowed on certain stretches, including Range Hills to Symphony Chowk and Bremen Chowk to Ambedkar Chowk.

The authorities urge commuters to adhere to the new routes and stay informed about any further changes.
