Pune Traffic Advisory: The Pune city traffic police have released a new advisory in preparation for the grand Ganesh idol immersion processions scheduled for Tuesday. Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende urged residents to utilise alternative routes during this busy time.

Zende noted that major roads in central Pune will be closed to all vehicles except those providing essential services. “We request citizens to cooperate with the police as we manage the traffic for the processions,” he said.

Pune Roads Closed On September 17 and 18 For Ganesh Visarjan

Shivaji Road: From Kakasaheb Gadgil statue to Jedhe Chowk (7 AM on Sept 17 until the end of the procession on Sept 18)

Laxmi Road: From Sant Kabir Chowki to Alka Talkies Chowk (from 7 AM)

Bajirao Road: From Bajaj statue chowk to Futka Buruj Chowk (from 12 PM)

Kumthekar Road: From Tilak Chowk to Chitale Corner chowk (from 12 PM)

Ganesh Road: From Daruwala bridge to Jijamata chowk (from 10 AM)

Kelkar Road: From Budhwar Chowk to Alka Talkies Chowk (from 10 AM)

Tilak Road: From Jedhe Chowk to Tilak chowk (from 9 AM)
