A neighbour of Sachin Tendulkar's Bandra home complained of the excessive construction noise coming from the home of the iconic cricketer, which reportedly continued until 9 pm. The neighbour reached out to Tendulkar via social media, requesting adherence to ''reasonable'' working hours for the construction crew.

Following the complaint, the neighbour, identified as D’Souza, received a courteous response from Tendulkar’s office. ''Dear @sachin_rt, it’s nearly 9pm and the cement mixer that’s been outside your Bandra home all day making a loud noise is still there, still making a loud noise. Please could you ask the people working on your home to stick to reasonable hours? Thank you so much,'' the neighbour  wrote on X .

An official from the cricketer’s office called D’Souza, acknowledging the disturbance and detailing the measures being taken to minimise the noise. The official’s willingness to listen contrasted sharply with the approach of other sources of noise in the area, according to D’Souza.

The issue quickly gained traction online, with the original post garnering over 6,19,000 views and sparking a flurry of reactions. Some social media users criticised the neighbour’s approach, suggesting that contacting the authorities would have been more appropriate than seeking publicity.

Meanwhile, some others referenced a letter Tendulkar allegedly sent to his neighbours, apologising for the inconvenience and seeking their understanding during the construction period.
