Breaking debut at Paris Olympics: The sport of breaking first came into existence in the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires Argentina and is now all set to make its Olympic debut in Paris on Friday.

About 32 B-Boys and B-Girls will be participating for the first title at La Concorde on Friday and Saturday. This event will have four rounds on one day for about five hours.

The event will have a round-robin format amongst four groups, which will have a quarterfinal, semifinal, and summit clash.

Some of the few prominent names in this event are reigning champion Viktor, former world champion Phil Wizard, and Asian champion Shigekix.

In the women's event, Japan's Ami and Ayumi will be seen in action, and defending champion Nicka will aim to claim the top position.

1. Technique: The breakers will aim to maintain psychological control while trying to focus on athleticism, form, and spatial awareness.

2. Vocabulary: It is the range of moves that show variation and the quantity and that too with minimal repetition.

3. Execution: This is the process in which the breakers aim to land smoothly, without falling and slipping, and maintain consistency.

4: Musicality: This refers to the ability to try and stay on beat and sync movement according to the rhythm of the movement.

5. Originality: The ability to improvise, create, and be spontaneous with style and personality.
