Apple Fitness+ will arrive in India on December 15 after years of anticipation, giving Indian users access to trainer-led workouts, real-time performance tracking, personalised fitness plans and deep Apple Watch integration designed to turn an iPhone into an effective workout companion.

With this deployment, Fitness+ expands from 21 regions to 49 countries – representing Apple's greatest global expansion since introducing this service back in 2020.

Pricing and Availability

Apple is keeping things simple for Indian users:

- Rs. 149 per month, or

- Rs. 999 per year

Subscriptions can be shared with up to five family members, making it one of Apple’s more affordable premium services.

And there’s a bonus: anyone who buys a new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3, or Powerbeats Pro 2 from Apple or an authorised reseller gets three months of Fitness+ free, provided the device runs the latest software.

What You Get With Apple Fitness+

Fitness+ brings a wide mix of workouts and meditations led by Apple’s global team of trainers. Once the service goes live, users in India will be able to access:

- Strength

- HIIT

- Yoga

- Pilates

- Dance

- Cycling

- Kickboxing

- Core

- Mindful cooldowns

- Meditation sessions

- And more

Typically, sessions last 5 to 45 minutes, so it is easy to establish a quick routine or create a longer schedule.

Users of Apple Watch and AirPods Pro 3 will join together in receiving live statistics about their heart rate, calories burnt and Activity Rings during their workout.

Personalised Schedules and Apple Music Integration

One of the service’s highlights is the personalised plan feature. Apple Fitness+ creates weekly schedules based on your goals, preferred workout types, duration, and even your favourite trainers.

Music plays a big role too. The integration with Apple Music lets you choose playlists featuring Hip-Hop, Latin grooves, R&B, or energising anthems to set the mood.

Launching in More Countries

Alongside India, Fitness+ is rolling out to Chile, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Vietnam, and several other markets on December 15.

For Apple users here, this launch finally fills a big gap in the company’s health ecosystem — and gives anyone with an iPhone a genuinely useful fitness companion at a pretty accessible price.
