Apple has been bringing the same design for a long time now, so similar that iPhone 13 and 14 can even fit in the same case. Currently, the iPhone 16-series is the latest smartphone from Apple. However, since its launch the leaks and rumours about the iPhone 17 series started to surface online with some good upgrades.
The iPhone 17 series is set for launch in September, later this year and yet some strong leaks and rumours have been circulating throughout the internet and have been creating a buzz among its fans. In this article, we will discuss all the leaks and rumours that we think are most likely to be true.
Apple iPhone 17 Leaks : Display
One of the most anticipated models from Apple is expected to be the iPhone 17 Air and it is rumoured to be the slimmest iPhone ever with only a 5.5mm to 6.25mm thick. It means that the iPhone 17 will be slimmer than the 6.9mm iPhone 6. The iPhone 17 is rumoured to fall between the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the iPhone 17 Pro. Also, there are rumours that the iPhone 17 series will not have a Plus model. The slimness of the iPhone 17 Air will be comparable to the iPad Air.
Apple iPhone 17 might also bring the 120Hz refresh rate display to all its models. It will also feature the LTPO OLED display to support 120Hz for smooth scroll and better and faster touch response. However, there is a chance that iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will not have AOD.
Apple iPhone 17 Leaks : Camera
Apple is expected to bring some significant changes to the camera department of the iPhone 17 series. The iPhone Air 17 and 17 Pro models are rumoured to have a new style camera setup, somewhat similar to Google Pixel’s horizontal camera setup. iPhone 17 Air might have a single camera setup. It is important to note, however, that a single camera lens does not mean poor quality photos.
Talking about the iPhone 17 Pro Max, it may have a main 48MP telephoto lens that will be a major upgrade over last year’s 12MP sensor. Others might have a 24MP front camera.
Apple iPhone 17 Leaks : Processor
Apple is expected to bring its next generation iPhone 17 series with its A19 chip that will be based on 3nm process. Most likely the Pro models will have A19 Pro chip for better performance and efficiency. It also means that A19 will also bring AI-capabilities to all iPhone models. However, Apple being Apple might bring some limitations to set Pro models apart from non-Pros.
Additionally, iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to be the second iPhone to have in-house 5G modem chip while replacing Qualcomm’s 5G tech.
Apple iPhone 17 Leaks : Connectivity
Leaks also suggest that Apple will improve the connectivity in iPhone 17 models by bringing WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. These upgrades will be great for faster speeds, lower latency, and battery efficiency. Also, Apple’s custom-designed Wi-Fi chip could further optimise performance. Apple might also push eSIM usage with its iPhone 17 series as iPhone 14 removed the sim tray in US, now it could exclude sim tray in more countries.
Apple iPhone 17 Leaks : Additional Changes
Apple may also focus on improving the durability of the iPhones as rumours suggest a tough anti-reflective display coating. The display is also said to be more scratch-resistant and durable to offer better protection in everyday usage and better visibility in bright areas.
