While the iOS 18.1 has not made its public appearance, Apple has rolled out the much anticipated iOS 18.2 developer beta 1 update for developers. It brings along the fancy Apple Intelligence features showcased at the WWDC 2024 event including the Playground, Genomoji, ChatGPT Integration in Siri and more. Here is the list of supported devices and features.

iOS 18.2 Developer Beta 1 Features:

The iOS 18.2 Developer Beta 1 has arrived with the features like writing tools, web page summarisation and automatic video maker. The update also brings along the Image Playground which uses AI to make images based on the text prompts. It also brings the Genmoji tool that works with the customised emojis. It can be used in Messages, Notes, Keynotes and more.

In addition, the update includes the ChatGPT integration, which makes Siri more contextually aware. The smart voice assistant can now use OpenAI capabilities to provide more detailed responses to what's on the screen, including photos and documents.

Users will also be able to use it as a writing tool, which improves the quality and tone of the text. The new update also includes Apple's own version of Google Lens and the Circle to Search feature. Users can long-press the Camera Control button, and the viewfinder will answer specific questions, requesting assistance from ChatGPT as needed.

Along with the Apple Intelligence features, the update brings along few changes to Mail application and design changes. All the features are available in English language.

iOS 18.2 Developer Beta 1 Supported Devices:

The new update will be eligible for the iPhone 16 series along with iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Do note that the public beta is not released yet and we expect it to roll out in the coming month.
