The launch of ChatGPT has significantly disrupted the market by providing advanced conversational AI capabilities, helping people generate some great content pieces, helping with homework, presentations, content creation, and more. Recently ChatGPT also introduced its live chat feature that doesn’t require you to type. You can directly speak to it and it will answer you directly in speech.
OpenAI ChatGPT Voice Assistant Updated
For ChatGPT, OpenAI's AI voice feature known as Advanced Voice Mode was updated on Monday to make the AI assistant more personalised and to reduce the frequency with which it interrupts users. An OpenAI post-training researcher named Manuka Stratta revealed the modifications in an official video from the OpenAI channel on Monday.
In the video, Manuka shares that one of the main concerns for people is that ChatGPT interrupts people when they pause and doesn’t let them complete. Manuka tells that this is now solved and demonstrates the update, as you can see below:
ChatGPT Voice Assistant Improved
OpenAI's latest update seeks to resolve a common issue with AI voice assistants, which often interrupt users when they pause to reflect or take a moment to think. Now, even the free ChatGPT users have access to a newer version of the AI model voice assistant, so people can have conversations without getting interrupted.
An OpenAI spokesperson told TechCrunch that its new AI voice assistant for premium subscribers is “more direct, engaging, concise, specific, and creative in its answers.” The enhancements to Advanced Voice Mode came as the AI voice assistant market is now facing good competition.
OpenAI has enhanced the Advanced Voice Mode for its AI assistant, ChatGPT. Free users can now enjoy uninterrupted pauses while speaking, whereas paid subscribers across various tiers (Plus, Teams, Edu, Business, and Pro) will experience fewer interruptions and an improved personality for the voice assistant.
