Lava, an India-based gadget firm known for its mid-range handsets, is now gearing up to enter the smartwatch category with its new sub-brand ‘Prowatch’. While the category is already cluttered with options, Lava has already vowed to address the issues that over 72% of smartwatch users in the country suffer under the Rs 3,000 price bracket. These users are demanding better display, durability, and accuracy.

On April 23, Lava will debut two new watches, the flagship ProWatch ZN and ProWatch VN. Not only that, but we have received an exclusive first peek at the ProWatch VN. The wristwatch will be an entry-level offering, with a 1.96-inch TFT LCD display priced at less than Rs 3,000. It will also receive a 232 mAh battery pack.

Regarding the design, Lava has provided a squarish screen with a crown on the right side for basic day-to-day functions. Furthermore, the video shows that there may be a silicone strap available. However, we are still unable to obtain the brand's characteristics. The Lava ProWatch VN will get Bluetooth Calling support.
