Apple, a Cupertino-based tech giant, will launch a range of tech products this year. The top anticipation will be the tech giant's leap into the AI verse. While rumours claim that the company is working on several AI projects, among the highlights will likely be the AI-improved Siri. A new report claims the generative AI-backed virtual assistant will be integrated across Apple products and services and not just iPhones.
According to leaker yeux1122, the enhancements may be showcased at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2024. The company has reportedly invested about $1 billion to integrate AI in Siri. It could address two gaps: not racing fast enough in the AI race and revamping the assistant. AppleInsider, citing the leaker, reported the company is "progressing" on embedding AI in Siri.
"Siri's generated AI version of Apple's Ajax-based model [will be] announced at WWDC," the English translation of the blog stated. "More personalisation and natural conversation to Siri" and "efficient management between devices of various Apple iPhones" may be added. This could imply that the conversation may sync across devices. However, some services or functions may differ based on "subscription services".

However, the news outlet reported that the tipster has a mixed record regarding Apple-related leaks. On a related note, it was reported that the company is working on its in-house Apple GPT and was in talks with news outlets for licensing their content to train the model.
This step will likely escalate the race with other tech giants, including Google, Microsoft and OpenAI, where Apple has not chased AI innovations for its software at crazy speeds. Apart from AI, the iPhone maker will likely introduce the iPhone 16 series, long-awaited iPad models, Mac computers and laptops, new AirPods and more devices.
