JE Technology Desk: Foldables are gaining vogue around the world. While we witnessed the launch of Google Pixel Fold recently, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is all set to launch on July 26. And days before that we have what we can call the thinnest book-style foldable to date. It is none other than Honor Magic V2 and was launched in China.
For context, the Magic V2 has a thickness of 9.9mm compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4's 14.2mm and Google Pixel Fold's 12.1mm. To give you a clear look, here is a specifications and price overview along with details on when we can expect an India debut.

Honor Magic V2 Specifications
Honor Magic V2 has a 7.92-inch internal and 6.43-inch external screen. Both are LTPO 120Hz 10-bit panels with a colour production capacity of 1.07 billion. The HDR-compliant display on the foldable has a peak brightness of 2500 nits and 3840Hz PWM dimming. The phone weighs 231g. For durability, it comes with a Titanium Hinge. Under the hood, the V2 runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip with a clock speed of up to 3.36 GHz. It runs on Magic OS 7.2 powered by Android 13.
The Magic V2 comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 66W HONOR SuperCharge. As for the optics, the book-style phone has a 50MP OIS main, 50MP ultra-wide and 20MP telephoto lens with an 8x8 dToF Laser Focusing System and Colour Temperature and Flicker sensor. For selfies, the phone sports a 16MP front camera on both displays.

The variant-wise pricing of the newly launched Honor Magic V2 5G is listed below.
- Magic V2 | 12GB + 256GB - CNY 8,999 (around Rs 1,03,000 after price conversion)
- Magic V2 | 12GB + 512GB - CNY 9,999 (around Rs 1,14,500)
- Magic V2 Ultimate | 16GB + 1TB - CNY 11,999 (close to Rs 1,37,500)
It is available in four colour options: Silk Purple, Gold, Silk Black and Black.
