iOS 17.1, one of the highly anticipated significant updates following iOS 17, is expected to be released today with several improvements. In addition, by 10.30 PM IST (10 AM PT), the California-based technology company will release iOS 17.1, iPadOS 17.1, macOS Sonoma 14.1, tvOS 17.1, watchOS 10.1, and HomePod Software 17.1. This follows a revelation from a MacRumors report that the company had previously distributed release candidates (RCs) for impending software releases.

iOS 17.1: What To Expect

The new iOS 17.1 is said to address a lot of issues including iPhone's radiation issues, heating issues, battery drainage and screen burn-in issues. While the major add-ons are expected, the update will not be coming with the Journal app. Users can do AirDrop from a distance using the internet. Further, the company will also offer a better user interface for Apple Music users, new modes in StandBy mode, and better Screen Time across all devices.

The update will also offer bug fixes, Messages and other common problems in the recently introduced iPhone 15 series.

iOS 17.1 How To Download:

Go to Settings and then tap on General. Then tap on the Software update and the iPhone will show you the update. Tap on Automatic Updates the switch on the download iOS update and turn on Install iOS Updates. Now, the iPhone will automatically download the latest version of iOS.

iOS 17.1: What’s New:

The latest update is expected to include some enhancements to the NameDrop feature for convenient sharing of other users' contact information. According to MacRumors, it will also include Double Tap on the latest models. For those who are unaware, the Double Tap allows users to perform basic functions such as answering phone calls, snoozing alarms, and more by just double touching the Index finger.
