OnePlus has silently turned on the hype machine for its next R-series phone in India. A dedicated microsite on the OnePlus India website has been listed out to confirm the arrival of the OnePlus 15R, which is expected to come as a cheaper variant of the newly launched OnePlus 15. The teaser provides a first look at the phone’s design, teases a move in camera hardware, and places the 15R as being the successor to one of its most popular phones ever: The 13R.

The official microsite shares the same familiar tagline, “Power On. Limits Off.” — the one used at the launch of the OnePlus 15. The release date is still unknown, but the presence of “Coming Soon” indicates it is a matter of time before an announcement.

The teaser reveals two colour options:

The back design is eye-catching with a vertical dual camera setup placed inside what, probably, is a square camera deco – and it does remind us of the OnePlus 15 in terms of looks. Curiously, it’s going from the triple camera arrangement on the OnePlus 13R, hinting that OnePlus could be paring down its number of snappers for this model.

Final Thoughts
The OnePlus 15R is looking interesting as a part of the lineup. If the rumours are true, it should provide a high-refresh-rate display, top-end processing power and an enormous battery — all in a design that looks to bring OnePlus into 2021. The move to dual-cameras could be controversial, but the hardware looks like it’s aimed at those concerned with performance. With the launch window approaching, this may be one of OnePlus’ most competitive R-series launches in years.
