Qualcomm has been a great company continuously developing new and better processing chips. Currently, Qualcomm’s latest chipset is the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and now Qualcomm is all set to launch its next-generation processor – Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in April 2025. The upcoming launch of Qualcomm is all set to launch and bring the promising upgrades over its predecessor. There have been leaks and information quietly running in the market. And in this article, we will discuss the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 leaks and what you can expect from this chip.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4

Qualcomm is ready, and as per reports, they will launch the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in April of this year. It will be a successor to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, and there are leaks of 8s Gen 4 that give us more insight into its capabilities. Initially, it was rumoured that it would be called Snapdragon 8s Elite, but now reports suggest that officially the name will be Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Performance Overview

Reports suggest that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 will utilize a unique 1+3+2+2 core configuration, differentiating it from the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which uses custom Oryon cores. This configuration may include a 3.21GHz Cortex-X4 core for high performance, 3x 3.01GHz Cortex-A720 cores for additional power, 2x 2.80GHz Cortex-A720 cores for processing tasks, and 2x 2.02GHz Cortex-A720 cores for efficiency.

The Adreno 825 GPU will be included in the graphics. Although it is in the same generation as the Snapdragon 8 Elite's Adreno 830 GPU, it will have fewer cores. Reports, however, indicate that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 will still provide excellent performance, with an expected AnTuTu benchmark score of over 2 million. Additionally, it is reported to have 6MB of SLC and 8MB of L3 cache, which will increase its speed and efficiency.

Once Qualcomm launches its Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, soon after the launch, we can expect several brands and devices. Some expected candidates might have it. Let’s get into the list:

- iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro

- Redmi Turbo 4 Pro/Poco F7

- Xiaomi's Civi 5 Pro

- Oppo's K13 Pro

These are some of the devices that are expected to adopt the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4
