Redmi Note 15 5G Launch Date: 108 Master Pixel Edition, What We Know So Far

Redmi Note 15 5G Launch expected date: Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has announced that the brand will soon be launching its latest smartphone, the Redmi Note 15 5G 108 Master Pixel Edition, in India. Although the complete specifications of the 8T haven’t been listed as yet, it has teased the design and confirmed a launch date. A new web page has also been launched on Amazon’s domain, further cementing the schedule and market platform for the forthcoming device.

In a post on X, the Redmi Note 15 5G 108 Master Pixel Edition will be unveiled in India on January 6, 2026. The phone will be available only on Amazon and the microsite is teasing some of its highlights before launch.

As of now, Redmi hasn't officially mentioned price or variant details; that's expected to be revealed closer to the launch.

Design Teased: Slim Build, Curved Display

Redmi’s initial teasers are heavily design-focused, and the company seems to have been hampered by it a lot. That’s because it looks like the Redmi Note 15 5G Master Pixel Edition will boast a curved display, something that until now has been almost exclusively limited to the high mid-range and premium smartphones. The phone is also thinner than previous members of the Note family, implying that it would be lighter and sleeker in form than its predecessors.

The left edge of the phone is seen being completely void of anything in the teaser images, so all physical buttons assume their traditional position on the right edge (power key and volume rockers). There are also suggestions of a metal frame, signifying a step up in build quality for the series.

Expected Specifications (Leaked)

Redmi has yet to confirm the specs, but several leaks provide us with a hint of what is to be included. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Indian Redmi Note 15 could sport a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This one would be running HyperOS, and there’s also no mention of which Snapdragon chipset is inside.

Camera could be one of the key highlights; leaks also suggested that the smartphone would come with a 108-megapixel main rear camera, which will be in line with the “108 Master Pixel” branding. Moreover, the battery will also be beefed up and larger than 5,500 mAh, according to reports that should cater towards power users.

But first reports indicate a different scenario. Another rumour suggests the phone might have a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with Full-HD+ resolution, be 7.35mm thick, weigh about 178g and come running a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip inside it. There's a HyperOS 2 Android 15 software on top of it in that configuration as well, apparently.

What to Expect Next

Now that the launch date is official, we can expect Redmi to share official specifications, pricing and colour options in the days leading up to launch. With the improved design, big AMOLED screen, and high-quality camera, the Redmi Note 15 5G 108 Master Pixel Edition looks to be among the better mid-range smartphones in India.
