One UI 6 Launched: Samsung, a South Korean tech giant, announced the One UI 6 at its Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) in San Francisco. These features will start rolling out first on the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. According to a Samsung press release, the enhancements include an improved Quick panel and more.

Here are a few changes the company highlighted at its annual SDC at Moscone Center.

Quick Panel

The Panel gets a new layout and dedicated toggles for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The notifications shall be sorted into different cards to display the recent ones at the top, reports The Tech Outlook.

Improved Quick Notifications Panel

New Font

Samsung introduced a new typeface - One UI Sans for better readability on virtual screens. This font will still be applied if you have opted for a different typeface than the previous default font.

DeX In Portrait Mode

The home screen of the tablet will let users switch to DeX mode and tablet mode. This computing feature can be used in portrait and landscape mode.

New Enhancements In Keyboard

New emoji options will be added to the company's own Samsung Keyboard.

Enhancements For Sharing

A preview of the files that a user is sharing will be available in the share panel with additional information, such as sharing a screengrab or a website link.

Cameras

The camera app has been revamped to customise widgets, adjust watermark, easily access resolution controls and opt across three quality levels. New Auto FPS ensures users get good video quality even in dull lighting scenarios.

For photos, the company announced AI-based editing tools to offer more controls and the ability to edit text, stickers and more after saving edits. With Samsung Studio, users can make multi-layer edits using text, music and stickers at particular timestamps.
