Samsung S24 Series Launch Event Updates: After launching the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra at the Unpacked 2024 event, the South Korean smartphone maker showcased its much-hyped "Galaxy Ring" wearable accessory. While intricate details about the smart device are awaited (at the time of filing), it will offer a host of AI-based health monitoring features. According to TechCrunch, the finger accessory will utilise the Samsung Health app and complement the features on a user's Galaxy Watch.

The tech giant labelled it the "powerful and accessible" wellness gadget at the showcase. Other than these few details, price, features and availability of this wearable remain under wraps. Meanwhile, reports in the past claimed that the company is working on a smart ring, and an announcement could materialise at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event.

The update was a surprise after the launch of the much-hyped Galaxy AI-powered flagships.

PhoneArena speculates that the tiny wearable device could offer precise health tracking and wireless communication services for payments and NFC-powered devices. The company could also allow use-case integrations of the Galaxy Ring on its upcoming XR headset that may arrive soon to take on Apple's Vision Pro. Plus, gesture-based controls for clicking photos and navigating across apps on a Samsung smartphone may be available via the Ring.
