Samsung, a South Korea-based tech giant, has been reportedly working on a Smart Ring for quite some time. While there are several leaks around the release of the Galaxy Ring and its features, a new leak from a reliable tipster claims that the company may announce the finger accessory at the launch event of the flagship Galaxy S24 series.
According to Gizmochina, leakster Ice Universe claims Samsung is gearing up for the launch of the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024. Among the highlights of the showcase could be the highly-anticipated Smart Ring that may officially debut at the same event.
The device reportedly reached the advanced development stage last month. While several sources claim that it may be released this year, this could be a steep ask considering the certifications required to monitor the health of wearers. The latest launch date seems may materialise, considering a bloc of tipsters have speculated a release in 2024.

According to previous reports, the company may name the ring 'Samsung Curio'. This detail was sourced from a trademark document filed by the tech giant. The Smart Ring is tipped to offer PPG and ECG sensors for temperature and heart rate monitoring. It may sport wireless connectivity for quick pairing with other home devices in the Samsung ecosystem.
At the moment, it is unclear whether it may be usable via voice controls or just touch-based gesture functionality. According to Gizmochina, Galaxy Ring could cost over $299 (around Rs 25,000). However, a user must note that the details mentioned in the report are not confirmed by Samsung.
Due to the right fit, the Ring is tipped to offer a more precise reading than the Samsung Watch. Speaking of the latest updates on the Smart Ring landscape in India, BoAt recently launched its Smart Ring in India. You can know the price and features of the accessory here.
