JE Technology Desk: Samsung is likely preparing for the launch of the next highly-anticipated fan edition smartphone - Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. We say this because the battery that could power the handset has reportedly received certification. This hints that the smartphone is in the production pipeline, and we may finally witness the launch of the smartphone anytime soon.

SamMobile, citing GalaxyClub, reported Amperex is the manufacturer of this battery, and it has the model number - EB-BS711ABY, which closely resonates with the expected model number SM-S711 of the upcoming phone. However, peculiar details like the battery capability and charging support remain unknown due to the pixelated photograph of the alleged component in the Safety Korea application.

The image shared in the report confirms that the power brick complies with Samsung's standard of ease of repairability. It has a pull tab for easy replacement when it may get worn out.

According to media reports, S23 FE could have a 4,500mAh battery with 25W charging speeds. This could make it similar to what the latest Galaxy S21 FE has on the inside.

However, the difference will likely be in the processor. Under the hood, the phone could have an Exynos 2200 chip. Speaking of the optics, an upgraded 50MP could sit on the back of the phone with the 12MP ultrawide and 12MP telephoto.

Despite these updates, Samsung could hold back the new Fan Edition handset for months after the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. The release could stretch as far as 2024, SamMobile adds. But, on the flip side, Tipster @Tech_Reve speculates the FE phone may launch in the next two months.

Samsung will host the Galaxy Unpacked event in the last week of July, where we may witness the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Fold5 smartphones. The products have undergone massive scrutiny by the rumour mill. You can read more about the latest rumour here.
