Samsung initially unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge during its Galaxy Unpacked event in January, with reports suggesting it would hit the market on April 15. However, a recent leak indicates the launch has been delayed. The company is now expected to hold an online event to introduce the device, which will likely be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip found in the rest of the S25 lineup. The phone is also rumored to feature a slim 5.84mm profile and a 3,900mAh battery.
Galaxy S25 Edge Launch Pushed to May 13
According to a report from SamMobile, citing unnamed sources, Samsung has postponed the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge by about a month, now eyeing a May 13 release. The event is expected to be held online, aligning with Samsung’s recent strategy of digital product reveals.

Positioned Between the S25+ and S25 Ultra
First teased alongside the rest of the Galaxy S25 series, the S25 Edge is expected to sit between the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra in the lineup. Alleged renders suggest it will be available in three color options—Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Icy Blue—matching those of the S25 Ultra.
Powerful Hardware in a Slim Design
Leaks indicate the Galaxy S25 Edge will come equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is rumored to feature a 6.6-inch display while maintaining an ultra-slim design at just 5.84mm thick. On the camera front, the device is expected to sport a 200-megapixel primary sensor alongside a 12-megapixel secondary shooter. Additionally, the phone will reportedly pack a 3,900mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
While Samsung has yet to confirm these details, the rumored May launch suggests an official announcement could be just around the corner.
