Let’s break this down. Samsung Pass has always been the biometric locker for passwords, autofill data, and quick logins. But a leaked APK suggests Samsung wants to transform it into something bigger. We’re talking passports. National IDs. Driver’s licences. Tax details. Business invoices. The entire identity stack. The UI shown in the leak isn’t a toy — it’s structured like a government-grade ID capture system. Which signals a clear strategic move: Samsung wants to push its software from a password vault to a full digital identity platform. And if Samsung executes this right, its Wallet could become the backbone identity layer of every Galaxy device.
The Leak: What’s changing inside Pass
The leaked APK — supposedly v5.3.01.6 — shows new structured forms for:
- Passports
- National ID cards
- Driving licences
- Tax details
- Invoice / business identity data
The form fields include name, issuing authority, birth details, nationality, expiration, front/back photo scans, and more. This isn’t “notes storage”. This is schema-level identity handling.

Why this is bigger than just another feature
Samsung is building in the same direction Apple and Google already went: put identity inside Wallet.
