Sony LinkBuds Fit: Sony has unveiled its latest wireless earbuds — the LinkBuds Fit — designed to prioritise everyday comfort, intuitive controls, and smart audio performance. With a lightweight build, adaptive noise cancellation, and high-resolution audio support, these new earbuds aim to cater to both casual listeners and those on the go.

Designed for All-Day Comfort

The LinkBuds Fit are equipped with Sony’s newly designed Air Fitting Supporters and soft silicone tips, created using years of ear shape data. The design ensures the earbuds remain secure while reducing pressure inside the ear. The tail of the Fitting Supporters is soft and hollow to minimise contact and discomfort, while the anchor point is more rigid to prevent accidental slipping. Each earbud weighs just 4.9 grams — light enough to wear for hours without fatigue.

Advanced Noise Cancellation Powered by Flagship Chip

Borrowing tech from Sony’s premium WF-1000XM5, the LinkBuds Fit use the Integrated Processor V2 to deliver real-time noise cancellation. The dual-sensor system adjusts dynamically based on your surroundings, cutting out background noise whether you’re on a train, in a café, or working in a busy office.

Ambient Sound Mode for Awareness

Sony’s best Ambient Sound technology is built in, automatically adjusting external sound levels to help users stay aware of their environment. This mode makes it easier to carry on a conversation or stay alert in public without removing the earbuds.

Rich Sound with High-Resolution Audio

The LinkBuds Fit support LDAC™, allowing for high-resolution wireless audio by transmitting nearly three times more data than standard Bluetooth. The Dynamic Driver X ensures detailed sound with minimal distortion, while DSEE Extreme™ uses Edge-AI to upscale compressed files in real time — great for streaming music that retains depth and clarity.

AI-Enhanced Call Quality

For clearer communication, the earbuds include AI-powered voice technology and Precise Voice Pickup, which work together to reduce background noise and keep your voice natural and distinct during calls — even in louder environments.

Smart Features and Easy Control

The earbuds come with Quick Access for services like Spotify Tap and Amazon Music, and Auto Play for music or notifications based on activity. The Wide Area Tap feature lets users tap the area in front of their ears — instead of the earbuds themselves — to control playback. Other features include multipoint connection, voice assistant support, head gesture controls, and Speak-to-Chat. The battery lasts up to 21 hours with the case, and a 5-minute quick charge delivers an hour of playback. They’re also rated IPX4 for water resistance.

Personalise with the Sony Sound Connect App

Through the Sound Connect app, users can customise sound profiles, assign shortcut actions, and monitor listening habits in line with WHO’s healthy listening guidelines. A special Background Music Effect is also available, making the audio feel more natural and less intrusive — ideal for passive listening while working or relaxing.

Eco-Friendly Design

In line with Sony’s sustainability goals, the LinkBuds Fit use no plastic in the packaging and incorporate recycled plastics in both the earbuds and the charging case.

Pricing, Colours and Launch Offer

The LinkBuds Fit will be available from 7th April 2025 at a best buy price of ₹18,990. As part of a limited-time launch offer, Sony is also including the SRS-XB100 portable speaker (worth ₹5,990) at no additional cost. Colour options include Black, White, and Green.
