Sony PlayStation Network, a popular service used by all the PlayStation holders, seems to be having some troubles. Recent reports suggest that their accounts were permanently suspended without any reason and got stumped because they couldn't play PS4 or PS5. The Verge says that the upset users were locked out of their accounts and thus lost access to downloadable PlayStation games.

"This account has been permanently suspended from PlayStation Network owing to violations of the PlayStation Network Terms of Service and User Agreement," says Sony in a message.

"A Reddit user reported receiving a similar message, and a look at PlayStation accounts on Facebook and Instagram indicates scores of others who've received identical notices in the previous several hours," said the report late Monday.

Sony, meanwhile, has not acknowledged the problem or confirmed any progress on the users' complaints.

"Without warning, @PlayStation and @AskPlayStation permanently barred me from the #PlayStation Network. Nobody understands why! I don't have a chargeback, I can't appeal, and there has been no reaction to my suspension status. CS says to make a new account and disconnect me," said one affected user on X.

There was no information about the problem on the PlayStation support page under "important notices" from Sony. The business announced in April of this year that it had shipped 6.3 million PS5 gaming consoles in just the quarter ending in March, out of a total of 38.4 million sold.

Additionally, in the fiscal year 2022, the company shipped 19.1 million PS5. The tech behemoth declared in July of last year that it had sold over 10 million PS5 units worldwide, making it "the fastest-selling console in Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) history."
