Tecno has officially unveiled its latest Pova 7 5G series in India, featuring two new models – the Tecno Pova 7 5G and Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G. Both smartphones are built around the new MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, paired with 8GB RAM, and boast large 6,000mAh batteries with 45W fast charging.

Eye-Catching Design and Innovative Features

A standout feature of the series is the Delta Light Interface – a strip of 104 mini LED lights located on the rear panel around the camera module. These lights respond dynamically to music, notifications, volume changes, and charging, adding a touch of flair to the devices.

Both models also come equipped with Tecno’s own AI assistant, Ella, which supports multiple Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, and more.

Tecno Pova 7 5G & Pova 7 Pro 5G: Pricing & Availability

The Tecno Pova 7 5G is priced at:

  • ₹12,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version
  • ₹13,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model

The Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G is slightly more premium:

  • ₹16,999 for the 8GB + 128GB option
  • ₹17,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant

These prices include limited-time launch offers and are available through Flipkart starting July 10. Color options for the Pova 7 5G include Geek Black, Magic Silver, and Oasis Green, while the Pro model comes in Dynamic Grey, Geek Black, and Neon Cyan.

Display and Build

Pova 7 5G features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LTPS IPS display, with peak brightness up to 900 nits.

Pova 7 Pro 5G takes it a step further with a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen, offering a super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness.

Performance & Storage

  • Under the hood, both phones run on MediaTek’s 4nm Dimensity 7300 Ultimate SoC.
  • The Pova 7 Pro 5G comes with LPDDR5 RAM, while the standard Pova 7 5G uses LPDDR4.
  • Storage options go up to 256GB UFS 2.2, and both phones ship with HiOS 15 based on Android 15.

Connectivity Enhancements

Tecno has also focused on connectivity, packing in 4x4 MIMO, VOWiFi Dual Pass, and an intelligent signal optimization system. The VOWiFi Dual Pass feature allows users to get call-waiting alerts on one SIM while the other is in use — particularly handy for dual SIM users in India.

Camera Capabilities

In terms of photography:

  • The Pova 7 5G includes a 50MP rear camera with a secondary light sensor.
  • The Pova 7 Pro 5G upgrades to a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor along with an 8MP secondary lens.
  • Both devices are equipped with a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery & Charging

Each phone is powered by a massive 6,000mAh battery. While both support 45W wired fast charging, the Pro model also adds support for 30W wireless fast charging, which is a rare addition in this price segment.
