JE Technology Desk: Twitter regularly gets media attention for new features and updates. In the latest instance, the company is reportedly working on the option to let blue subscribers hide their like numbers and the people they have subscribed to in the app.
According to Social Media Today, the company is also working on the option to let Blue subscribers hide their verified checkmark. Alessandro Paluzzi, a mobile developer, shared a screengrab of the setting. However, exclusive Blue benefits such as longer tweets, tweet editing, and more will continue to indicate that it is a paying account. This feature has been in development for quite some time, the report notes.
Twitter users will get the option to option to hide their 'Likes tab' and 'Subscriptions' which are displayed on the app. T(w)itter Daily News shared the update on the microblogging platform.
"Your Likes tab on your profile will only be visible to you. Your Likes timeline will also be hidden from the Twitter APIs. Your individual Likes will still be visible on Tweets," the description of the 'Hide Likes tab' reads. "Your list of Subscriptions on your profile will only be visible to you," states the 'Hide Subscriptions' description.
For context, the Blue checkmark, which was exclusive to popular figures earlier, has now transformed into a paid service with exclusive benefits. Elon Musk has been transferring a considerable number of features pie that were earlier available for users for free to the Blue subscription. Among the most notable ones is two-step verification.
