WhatsApp, which is working on a slew of new security features, is now reportedly introducing a new safety tool, using which the users will be able to see a dedicated screen of messages from unknown numbers. The new screen will also have the option to block unknown numbers or even report them to the moderation team.
Along with this, the dedicated screen will also offer information about how to stay safe in the chat which will highlight name, photo, and country code. Further, the platform will add privacy and more control to the users by not notifying the sender that their messages have been read until the receiver chooses to reply or add a contact to their phone list.
According to a report by WaBetaInfo, a WhatsApp news and reporting website, says the new feature is currently limited to Android beta testers. It is expected that the platform will introduce the feature to more users in the upcoming months with its new update.
Meanwhile, the instant messaging platform has introduced a new feature using which the users will be able to create groups while forwarding messages. The platform gets a new contact card soon after the user crosses the forward message screen.
Not only that, the platform has also added an animated avatar feature for Android beta, aiming to enhance users' interactions and communication experience. The feature is also available in the Android beta.
