Xiaomi Hyper OS Release Date: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi announced the HyperOS ROM that will be available for upcoming Redmi and Xiaomi phones in October this year in China. The company also announced the Xiaomi 14 series at the event which bundled the new OS. In the latest move to expand the rollout plan of the new ROM, the company has announced its second device list for the release of the upcoming OS.

According to a report from Gizmochina, these devices will receive the HyperOS developer version in December in the company's homeland. The report included a list of 11 devices that are marked as eligible. The smartphones and tablets in the list include:

The report noted that the announcement post was modified to incorporate the Xiaomi 12S series later. Plus, updates for the Xiaomi 13 series and Redmi K60 series were released in the first batch of devices. Eligible users can head to the settings of their smartphone or register for the beta build to try out the version early.

HyperOS ROM is an upgrade over the MIUI software running on a majority of Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones. It offers a boost in performance, smoother animations, lock screen customisations, new widgets, Dynamic Island-like notifications, cross-device features, and other AI enhancements. Plus, it also gets better encryption and privacy management tools.

The company has not released a detailed release timeline for the new ROM in India. However, we can expect HyperOS to debut in the country next year with device-wise release in the subsequent months.
