According to police, the couple often fought as Kumar frequently returned home intoxicated. On Saturday night, an argument escalated when he came home drunk again. In a fit of rage, Madhavi picked up a brick and struck him repeatedly on the head, ignoring their 12-year-old son’s pleas to stop.
According to a NDTV report, after the assault, Madhavi allegedly dragged the body outside and dumped it into a sump near their house. She then cleaned the bloodstains and fled the scene.
