A Myanmar refugee was stabbed to death by a history-sheeter in Hyderabad on Sunday. The incident took place in Rachakonda under the limits of Pahadi Shareef police station when the victim was on his way home at Wadi-e-Salahee. The accused fled from the crime scene and a search operation is underway.
The victim, identified as Mohammad Ibrahim (22), was a refugee from Myanmar and he was registered with the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Police said history-sheeter, Asif demanded money from the victim and later stabbed Ibrahim with a knife repeatedly for refusing to pay him money.
The refugee died at the stop due to multiple stab injuries. Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body for post-mortem examination. Police registered a case and launched a search operation to nab Asif, who has several criminal cases registered against him.

In another incident, a beggar was killed by unidentified people in Hyderabad on Sunday. The incident occurred in Secunderabad late at night when a beggar was sleeping on the footpath near Monda Market. Police said the victim was attacked and stabbed to death by three men.
Police registered a case at Monda Market police station and are checking CCTV footage in the area as part of the investigation to identify the accused. Meanwhile, after an initial investigation police suspect the involvement of beggars.
