Telangana: Drunk Father Kills One-Year-Old Daughter By Slamming Her On Floor In Suryapet

Telangana News: A one-year-old girl died in Telangana’s Suryapet town on Saturday after her father, allegedly drunk, assaulted her during a domestic dispute.

According to a Siasat report, Police said the accused, identified as Venkatesh, returned home late at night in an inebriated condition. When his wife tried to pacify him, an argument broke out. Their daughter, Bhavigna, began crying, which further angered him.

In a violent outburst, Venkatesh allegedly caught hold of the child by her legs and slammed her repeatedly against the floor. His wife tried to stop him, but the baby suffered serious head injuries and internal damage.

The child was immediately taken to the Government General Hospital in Suryapet. Doctors placed her on a ventilator, but she succumbed to her injuries the next morning.

After the incident, Venkatesh attempted to escape. However, neighbours caught him and handed him over to the police.

A case has been registered against him, and further investigation is in progress. Police confirmed that the man was heavily drunk at the time of the incident.
