The Khoda police station team has arrested two individuals for possessing and selling intoxicating tablets and injections. The accused were allegedly supplying these substances to workers and passers-by in Khoda, Ghazipur Mandi, Noida and Ghaziabad.

The Arrest And Seizure

ACP Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava stated that a case was filed based on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Vijendra Singh. The incident occurred on December 1 at around 12:45 pm. A police team conducting routine checks beneath the Indirapuram underpass noticed two men approaching on foot. Upon seeing the police, the men stopped abruptly, exchanged glances, and attempted to flee.

Acting on suspicion, the police chased and apprehended them within 20-25 paces. A search of their bags resulted in the recovery of 1,200 Alprazolam tablets, 70 Avil IP injections, 150 syringes, and 70 needles.

Profile of Accused

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

Firoz Ansari: A resident of Rajiv Colony, Khoda, originally from Darwaza Sahaun, Dhampur police station, Bijnor.

Saugandh alias Nishant: Originally from Mohalla Lodhan Kalyan, Bulandshahr.

Modus Operandi And Motive

During interrogation, the accused revealed that they sourced the drugs from a specific individual located under a railway underpass in Delhi who sold the items at low prices. When asked about their motive, the duo stated that they turned to selling intoxicating substances because "stealing involves greater risk."

Investigation Underway

The police are actively searching for the suppliers mentioned by the accused. Inquiries are being conducted to dismantle the supply chain.
