Delhi Drug Racket: The arrest of a woman, identified by Delhi Police as 42-year-old Parvati, led to the bust of an interstate drug trafficking network. According to police, Parvati had 12 previous cases in connection with a drug trafficking network. A huge amount of heroin, cash, gold and silver was recovered from her possession.
What Police Said?
DCP Outer North, Shobhit Saxena, said a female drug smuggler was arrested in Narela. She used to source the contraband from Pratapgarh, Rajasthan. During a subsequent raid there, police also apprehended her close associate, Sahib Khan, and recovered 265 grams of smack.

A third raid at her residence led to the recovery of a large quantity of gold and silver jewellery, cash, and property documents. The seized items include approximately Rs 57 lakh in cash, 350 grams of gold jewellery, 150 grams of silver jewellery, and documents pertaining to four properties.

Drugs Worth More Than Rs 1.5 Crore Recovered
NDTV reported that Police recovered 1.204 kg of heroin worth more than Rs 1.5 crore from her possession at the time of her arrest. Her accomplice and bodyguard, 30-year-old Vikas Kumar alias Shanu, was also arrested along with Parvati. The quinpin of the drug racket and her bodyguard were arrested in New Sanoth Colony in Bawana in north Delhi. Police also arrested three more accused following interrogation of the duo. Police also seized a Tata Harrier belonging to her.
Who Is Drug Racket Queenpin?
Parvati, who was named in over two dozen criminal cases linked to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Excise Act, has been marked as "Bad Character History Sheet" by the Narela Industrial Area police station. Parvati's husband is Niaz, but she was living with Vikas Kumar in a rented house in New Sanoth Colony in Bawana. Kumar is a resident of Sant Nagar in Burari. Police said Parvati's permanent address is in JJ Colony in Bawana.
