To tackle traffic congestion on the Rajnagar Extension main road, Ghaziabad Police will propose the construction of U-turns at three key locations in coordination with the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
Additionally, the cut in front of the Sahibabad police station will be closed and converted into a U-turn to improve traffic flow.
Police Commissioner J Ravinder Goud held a meeting with traffic officials on Wednesday, noting persistent jams at Fortune Cut, Ajnara Cut, and the River Heights roundabout. Following site inspections with GDA officials, the U-turns will be constructed to provide relief.
The Commissioner also directed officials to identify damaged roads caused by rain or other factors and coordinate with relevant departments for repairs. With festivals approaching, proper traffic arrangements will be ensured at crowded markets, religious sites, and main roads.
