Kanpur News: HBTU Opens CUET-Based Admissions For THESE Courses, BBA; Registrations Open Till July 17

Following the announcement of the CUET-UG results, Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur, has launched a fresh admission schedule for select undergraduate programs. The university is now accepting applications for BPharma, BTech (Biotechnology), BTech Lateral Entry, and BBA programs based on CUET scores. The last date for registration is July 17, after which a three-round counselling process will take place.

This admission cycle runs parallel to HBTU's JEE-based admission process, under which three rounds of counselling have already been completed. However, several departments at HBTU are now offering admissions through CUET, allowing eligible students from Uttar Pradesh who appeared for the CUET to apply.

According to Prof Lalit Kumar Singh, Dean of Academics at HBTU, a total of 75 seats each are available in BPharma, BTech Biotechnology, and BBA programs, while 82 seats are reserved for BTech lateral entry. Interested candidates can register by paying a fee of Rs 2,500.

-First Round Seat Allotment: July 18

-Document Verification: July 21–23

-Second Round Seat Allotment: July 25

-Verification: July 26

-Third Round Seat Allotment: July 28

-Verification: July 29–30

Students are encouraged to complete their registrations before the deadline to be considered for seat allotment and counselling.
