The Uttar Pradesh administration has sanctioned Rs 895 crore for land acquisition for the proposed access-controlled Greenfield Expressway connecting Hardoi to Farrukhabad. The project aims to link the Agra-Lucknow Expressway with the Ganga Expressway, significantly improving regional connectivity.
Under the approved allocation, Rs 75 crore has been released to the District Magistrate of Etawah, Rs 63 crore to Kannauj, Rs 300 crore to Mainpuri, Rs 466.20 crore to Farrukhabad, Rs 21 crore to Hardoi, and Rs 26.50 crore to Shahjahanpur for land acquisition purposes.

The Greenfield Expressway project received approval last year, and the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has been entrusted with its execution.
Once completed, the expressway is expected to provide faster and safer travel while boosting economic activity across the connected districts.
