A big step has been taken to improve public transportation in Noida and the surrounding villages. The Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation is expanding its fleet by adding 10 new mini-buses, which are being brought in from Kanpur.

The Noida depot has already received five of these mini-buses. To get the other five, a team of drivers was sent to Kanpur on Wednesday.

The Regional Manager of UP Roadways, Manoj Kumar Singh, explained that the process of getting permits for the first five buses is already underway. He also mentioned that the team of drivers will reach Kanpur today (Thursday) and it's very likely that the remaining five buses will also arrive at the Noida depot within the next three days.

These 42-seater mini-buses will run on 10 different routes, which will improve the connection between the city and rural areas. This move will especially help people living in villages who, until now, had to rely on expensive private vehicles or cabs to travel. Having better public transport will not only save them money but also help with their social and economic growth by connecting them to the last mile.
