Fruits and vegetables grown in several districts of western Uttar Pradesh, including Gautam Buddh Nagar, will soon reach international markets through cargo services from Noida International Airport. To facilitate this, efforts are underway to develop the Innova Food Park near the airport. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has agreed to allot 30 acres of land in Sector 24A for the project.
The state government had received a proposal for setting up a food park close to the airport to process agricultural produce and export it globally. Initially, the project was planned near the airport’s cargo terminal, but due to gamma radiation concerns, the site has now been shifted to Sector 24A. Principal Secretary (Agriculture) Ravindra Singh visited YEIDA on Wednesday, inspected the identified land, and held a review meeting with officials.

With Noida International Airport emerging as a major cargo and passenger hub, dedicated infrastructure is being developed to transport processed food items to overseas markets. The food park is expected to benefit farmers from multiple districts of western UP by enabling value addition, improving market access, and ensuring better prices for their produce.

YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh said the region produces large quantities of fruits and vegetables, and the food park will significantly boost agri-processing and exports. Notably, the Patanjali Group is also developing a large food park nearby, for which 430 acres of land were allotted in 2017, further strengthening the agro-industrial ecosystem around the airport.
