The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has initiated the direct recruitment process for 537 vacant posts of Police Sub-Inspector (Confidential), Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk), and Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts). A notification regarding the recruitment was issued on the board’s official website on Saturday.

Interested candidates can apply online for these posts till January 19. Detailed information related to eligibility criteria, application procedure, fee payment, educational qualifications, reservation, age limit, syllabus, and examination process has been made available on the official website uppbpb.gov.in.

Under this recruitment drive, a total of 537 posts will be filled, including 112 posts of Police Sub-Inspector (Confidential), 311 posts of Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk), and 114 posts of Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts). The application fee can be submitted until January 19, while corrections in the submitted fee will be allowed till January 22.

To be eligible for the SI (Confidential) and ASI (Clerk) posts, candidates must be graduates from a recognised university or institution. They are also required to have a Hindi typing speed of 25 words per minute, an English typing speed of 30 words per minute, and an ‘O’ Level certificate from DOEACC/NIELIT.

The minimum age for applicants is 21 years, while the maximum age limit is 28 years, calculated as of July 1, 2025. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation as per government norms.

For applying, candidates must visit the official website, complete One-Time Registration (OTR), log in to fill out the application form, upload the required details, pay the prescribed fee, and submit the form online.

Candidates from Unreserved, EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500, while those from SC and ST categories will pay Rs 400. The fee can be paid through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
