Delhi Traffic Challan Waiver: The Delhi Government is planning on bringing a new scheme to remit pending traffic offences in the state. Vehicle owners in Delhi are expected to get relief from long-pending traffic challans, as the government is preparing a scheme to provide up to 80% waiver on pending traffic fines. The government is planning to clear long-pending traffic offences and improve revenue collection.
Delhi Traffic Challan Waiver: 60-80 Per cent Waiver
According to several media reports, the government plans to provide a 60 to 80 per cent waiver on traffic challans issued over the last 10 years. The scheme is expected to provide relief to both passengers and commercial vehicles. The government is expected to provide a 60 per cent waiver to traffic challans issued to personal and commercial vehicles, a 70 per cent waiver to traffic challans issued to DTC buses, and an 80 per cent waiver to two-wheelers and three-wheelers.

Delhi Government To Send Proposal
The state government will now send a proposal to the Lieutenant Governor, and after his approval, the scheme will be presented to the Delhi Cabinet. Once the scheme is approved by the Delhi Cabinet, it will cover all the traffic challans issued to vehicles so far by enforcement agencies.

Delhi Government On Pollution
The air quality has fallen to severe levels in the national capital in the past few days, and the state government has taken some bold steps to curb pollution. The state government has issued more than 1.56 lakh challans to vehicles without a valid PUC certificate in the state. The government has also begun a policy called ‘No PUC No Fuel.’ Vehicles without a valid PUC certificate will not be allowed to refuel at the petrol stations in the state. The Delhi government has also implemented GRAP 4 in the state, and non-BS-VI vehicles registered outside Delhi are not allowed entry in the state.
