National Film Awards 2023: Bollywood sensation Alia Bhatt won the award for Best Actress at the 69th National Film Awards and the internet cannot keep calm. The winners of the National Film Awards were announced today, August 24, and the fans were quick to flood social media with their congratulatory messages for the winners.

But what took the most limelight was the trolls by the netizens who took a dig at actor Kangana Ranaut for not winning the award. The people recalled Ranaut’s repetitive swipes at other actors, including her digs at Alia. Kriti Sanon has also received the Best Actress Award along with Alia, the two have shared the award.

Ranaut has become a common name when it comes to making headlines over controversial statements. From politics to her digs at nepotism, the actor has made quite a name for herself in the country.

As soon as the announcement for the award of the Best Actress was made, netizens took to social media to share memes on Kangana. “Kangana you might just continue mocking Alia for whatever she does,but from no aspect,has your performance been ever an inch close to what she did and served in/as Gangu.From being criticised at the announcement,to winning hearts and multiple awards, Alia was beyond magnificent,” wrote a user.

Alia and Sanon won awards for their films ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Mimi’ respectively. While the Best Actor Award was bagged by South Indian actor Allu Arjun for his hit film ‘Pushpa’. The award for Best Feature Film was won by ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’. The Kashmir Files too, grabbed a spot as it won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Kangana Ranaut also reacted to the awards and congratulated the winners.
