Viral Video: Being trapped in a sealed tube with at least 50 others, with no ventilation or a working AC, is nothing more than a nightmare that no passenger taking a flight would ever like to experience. However, the poor passengers of the QR204 flight of Qatar Airways, ended up facing something similar for about 3.5 hours, reportedly on June 10. A video of the same was shared on social media, where the said flight’s AC allegedly stopped working, resulting in a ‘panic state’ that took the aircraft over. In the video, passengers were seen passing out and taking off their clothes with the aim to beat the heat and survive the suffocation.
The incident, as per the post going viral, took place in Greece, when the said flight was resting on the tarmac at an airport in Athens. The passengers were left in the aircraft during the halt, as they were supposed to take a connecting flight in Doha, as per reports. However, the malfunctioned AC turned those few hours into a nightmare for the passengers.
Later, the passengers were finally led out of the flight. However, their suffering only continued as they faced a major ‘lack of communication or information’ about their connecting flight at the Athens International Airport. After much ordeal, the suffering passengers finally landed in Doha, 16 hours later than their originally scheduled timing.
The video was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘Garth Collins’. The post was captioned, “@damian_collins1 while they held on board @qatarairways flight QR204 for 3.5 hours with the doors closed, no air cooling, and zero sustenance. People were passing out, and panic ensued. Damian is a fit, conditioned athlete, imagine the stress and danger for any normal individual.”

The video has been circulating on social media, ever since it has been shared. Most people chastised the airline and suggested passengers go for a ‘lawsuit’, while the rest expressed relief over the safety of all the passengers. The video was shared 3 days ago and pulled many likes from people.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Let the lawsuits begin,” a user said. “I would definitely sue them. Lucky there wasn’t anyone on board with circulatory problems,” added a second person. “Just fake a heart attack or something and they will have to let everyone out,” suggested a third person.
“At what point is it a big enough emergency to just pop the doors and escape?” asked a fourth person. “And Qatar Airways will completely ignore every single one of you!! Worst customer service ever” added a fifth user. “They would have had to fix every window on that plane,” joined a sixth person.
